Treatments

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterflies

Treated Fall 2019

These 13 Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterflies were donated to the Iron Hill Science Center in Delaware, and loaned to University of Delaware's Art  Conservation Undergraduates for treatment. 

Delftware Plate

Treated Fall 2020

This 1700s earthenware plate was gifted to Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library and then given to University of Delaware's Art  Conservation Undergraduates as a study piece for treatment. 

Jimmie Mosely Sr. Painting

Treated a Section of Fall 2020

The Mosely Gallery at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore has lend the painting to Winterthur's Art Conservation Department for treatment.

Harlem Hell Fighters Diorama

Treated Fall 2020

The Legacy Museum at Tuskegee University has lent 1 of the remaining 20 dioramas from an exhibit featuring a collection of 33 dioramas created for the 1940 Negro Exposition in Chicago for treatment  in Winterthur's Art Conservation Department.

Thai Painting

Treated Fall 2020

This Thai painting is being treated by Winterthur's Art Conservation Department after the piece was in a flood.

Richard Ginori Pamelo Coffee Cup

Treated Fall 2020

Porcelain Reconstruction Practice

Found at the local Goodwill, this Pamelo coffee cup was used as an educational tool to practice  reconstructing porcelain with Paraloid B-72 and writing related treatment documentation.
