Coffee Cup

Q: What do you do when one day your professor told you to throw a beautifully made porcelain coffee cup against a brick wall?

​

A: You throw it as hard as you can and watch it scatter into tiny fragments and puffs of dust. 

​

Porcelain Reconstruction Practice

     Found at the local Goodwill, this Pamelo coffee cup was used as an educational tool to practice reconstructing porcelain with Paraloid B-72 and writing related treatment documentation.

     Resulting in about 51 recognizable pieces and innumerous unrecognizable flakes, this exercise provided an intriguing challenge.
