Delftware

There were about 85 sherds to this plate and trust me- I touched them all; more than once.

This 1700s earthenware plate was gifted to Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library and then given to University of Delaware's Art  Conservation Undergraduates as a study piece for treatment.

In the fall of 2020, I treated this delftware plate that was in pieces. It was evident that there was at least one prior restoration treatment, because the old adhesive fluoresced in UV.
